Connect the MaxStream XStream to the computer using a straight through serial cable.

Apply power to the XStream.

Best redundant solutions beyond redundant ring technologies by realizing Flexible Topology, Fast Fault Recover and Cost effective configuration. Providing you with the maximum flexibility and expandability possible.

Turbo chain is versatile enough to be used with any topography simply link the two ends of your switch chain to your Ethernet network and your done.

Boundless Expansion. Turbo chain makes network extension easy and engineers no longer need to reconfigure the existing network. Moxa Turbo Chain also inter-operates with other redundant protocols.

Now you can create any type of redundant network flexibly and with any restriction.

Fast Fault Recover in under 20 milliseconds.

With Turbo Chains ultra redundancy you can instantly recover from network failures. If a network link fails turbo chain activates the blocked path and and continues forwarding data all in a recovery time less that 20 milliseconds.

Cost saving deployment ring couplings use to interconnect different rings for distributed applications.

Compared with coupling turbo chains flexible topography requires fewer coupling cables and fewer Ethernet ports. Moxa’s Turbo Chain has been successfully used in numerous applications such as Oil Pipeline, Wind Power, Railway especially those that require multi ring connections.

All Moxa managed Ethernet switches are managed with redundant turbo chain technology.

So why wait start and deploy your networks with Turbo Chain today.

The TCF-142 media converter is equipped with a multiple interface circuit that can handle RS-232 or RS-422/485 serial interfaces and multi-mode or single-mode fiber. TCF-142 converters are used to extend serial transmission up to 5 km (TCF-142-M with multi-mode fiber) or up to 40 km (TCF-142-S with single-mode fiber). The TCF-142 can be configured to convert either RS-232 signals, or RS-422/485 signals, but not both at the same time.

A serial device server talks bi-directionally between Ethernet and serial formats and allows you to manage, access and configure equipment and projects anywhere in the world over the internet.

These network enabled serial devices are easy to use with serial to RS-232 or RS-422/485 and have anywhere from 1 to 16 port selections.

What is Serial to Ethernet?

Moxa’s Serial Device Servers are devices that move data from serial to Ethernet and allows engineers to have the best of both worlds. The “serial world” is that of sensors, modems actuators and RS-485 networks that relays data from devices and computers. The “Ethernet world” is the world of Network Interface Card NIC’s for short, the internet and open protocols moving data and information from host to host.

What type of applications are Moxa’s serial Ethernet device servers used in: Campus Attendance and Entrance Control systems, Medical Equipment Data Acquisition, Remote Environmental Monitoring Systems, Remote Management of Rack Servers and Power Distribution Management Systems just to mention a few.
