Photoelectric Sensors

Wide Spectrum of Optical Sensors for Standard Applications or Special Requirements

The eagle eyes among sensors

Photoelectric sensors reliably detect the presence of objects and check their shape, color, distance, or thickness with high accuracy. Optical sensors have a significantly higher detection range than inductive or capacitive proximity switches. They are real experts with various strengths: detecting and counting parts, monitoring stack heights, through-glass detection, aligning small parts, detecting marks, fill level detection, and much more!

Different surface characteristics, sizes, and colors of the objects require different operating principles and designs of photoelectric sensors.

Our wide spectrum offers different ranges of light types, whether red light, infrared, blue light, or laser technology with and without background suppression. Various designs – also in mini versions – ensure various possible applications. Our photoelectric sensors are optimized for robotics, automation, assembly, installation, and handling. We also offer reliable and rugged versions for harsh environmental conditions. For other special applications, we also offer our photoelectric mini-sensors, color sensors, light bands, and contrast sensors.

Diffuse Sensors

Diffuse Sensors

  • Ideal for detecting contrast differences – dependent upon surface, color, and material
  • For diffuse sensors with background suppression: reliable object detection with different ranges, virtually independent of surface, color, and material
  • Cost-effective and easy to mount and align thanks to the obvious light beam
  • Shorter ranges compared to retro-reflective and through-beam sensors
  • Mounting includes only one electrical device
  • Light scanners with blue light for perfect detection of objects that are difficult to recognize
Diffuse Sensors

Diffuse Sensors

Retroreflective Sensors

  • Simple alignment thanks to generous mounting tolerances
  • Large reflectors for high ranges
  • Reliable detection – regardless of surface, color, and material
  • Also with a pole filter suitable for detecting shiny objects
  • Mounting includes only one electrical device plus a reflector
